Very very exciting news today at Skipping Rainbows HQ! 

We welcome our first stockist of our gorgeous handmade accessories to the Skipping Rainbows family.

Drum roll please.........

A big round of applause goes to Haven 4 Kids at Forestville NSW (Sydney/Northern Beaches) for becoming our first stockist. 

Kellie, the lovely owner, has stocked this amazing kids shop with some awesome kids brands like Milky, Rock Your Baby and Mini zzzzzzz to name but a few. 

If you have a chance take a trip to the shop and check out the kids gear (for girls and boys too!) and also pop around the corner to HAVEN womenswear (big sister to Haven 4 Kids) for some cool grown up girl fashion and accessories.

Monday Magic

Hi All

Happy Monday!  Hope the start of your week has been a happy one.

I was wondering what I would share today. I decided his post is going to be about my two little ladies. I have the privilege of being a mum to a gorgeous 4 year old and a beautiful 2 year old. I also have the privilege of watching a relationship and friendship develop and grow. 

This is what I see

I see tears

I see big belly laughs

I see team work

I see deals being made

I see big toothy grins

I see envy

I see pride

I see joy

I see silliness

Most of all I see LOVE.

Its a gift.

Monday Magic

Hi Everyone

Hope you are and yours are well and happy. Having escaped the wild and windy weather Sydney town put on over the weekend some inspiration came my way. I have decided to write a post on a Monday- Monday Magic to brighten the start to everyone's week. Today the inspiration came from the simple but beautiful flower. 

Every Monday, with my two little ladies in tow, I drive past a garden with the most stunning cascade of orange flowers. It makes me smile and today with the sun shining, girls chatting away I could feel spring on the way. It was special. So I stopped and grabbed a picture or two. Here is my fave! 

Orange must be the colour of the day because as I stepped out the front door one of my all time favourite garden flowers is blooming! Lucky us!

Fabric Beautiful Fabric.....

Hello Everyone

Wow what a first month is been here at Skipping Rainbows HQ. Lots of interest and support from far and wide. Thanks everyone. I have loved every minute of it!

This post I thought I would share some pictures of some beautiful fabric that arrived a few days ago. I have some super cool ideas floating around about how to use the fabric.... the possibilities are endless. I definitely want to build on the covered snap clip and hair elastic sets but am also thinking about adding headbands, paper clips, vintage bobby pins, covered button mirrors and maybe the odd coin purse!!!!! Of course the Skipping Rainbows signature covered button will feature prominently on these gorgeous products. I will keep you posted. In the meantime enjoy the pics.

Hi and Welcome to Skipping Rainbows. 


Well its day one of my little venture - Skipping Rainbows. I wanted to combine my love finding and buying all things handmade with making interesting, exciting and highly original handmade items you wouldn't find in any shop. So Skipping Rainbows was born. 


My two little girls are sources of instant and constant inspiration and act as my two muses. They are very different in appearance, personality, interests and likes and dislikes.  My eldest little lady is a girl who loooooves pink, flowers, skirts with tights, whimsical things and princesses and has a taken a firm disliking to jeans! My second little lady looks awesome in blues and greens, skinny jeans and rocks it out in a pair of black chuck taylors (converse high tops for the uninitiated). Therefore, with this eclectic mix blossoming around me I hope I have created things a wide range of styles can love and wear.
